A hearty thanks goes out to Dave of Davesdomes, based in the picturesque region of British Columbia, Canada, for sharing this remarkable account:
Greetings, I’m Dave, a builder specializing in handcrafted domes. I’d like to share with you the story behind a 16-foot Solexx geodesic dome greenhouse, elevated three feet high on a platform, situated at the high school in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada.
This project involved assembling a prefabricated kit and then outfitting it with Solexx panels, a task taken on by the students of the Westwood Green Initiative, led by their dedicated science teacher, Johnny Dulku. The objective was to create a space suitable for year-round plant studies for the science team.
The application of Solexx panels transformed the structure into a functional greenhouse. I was impressed me with the versatility of Solexx and how easy it was to work with. I found Solexx greenhouse covering to be of high quality, and I plan to purchase more Solexx for a similar project in the near future.
Thank you!
